First Meeting

The process starts with the mutual decision that Traver Construction is the right company for you and your project. At our first appointment, you will have the opportunity to get to know each other and see if we would be a good fit to partner over the course of your project. We start by talking with you about what your needs are and go over your wishlist. We also discuss your budget and review the steps and information necessary to proceed.


After the first meeting and discussion of the scope, we will draft a design agreement and determine the fee for designing your project depending on the scope and time that it will take to develop the necessary details. Entering into that agreement will allow us to start working on drawings and collecting other relevant information including measuring the space and photographing your house to be able to produce detailed exact as-built drawings.

Review and Selections

From there a conceptual design and costs are developed around your criteria with our creative and helpful input. Once we have a conceptual design of the space, we meet to review the concept to get your input and approval. After this meeting you get to start shopping for the “fun stuff” - tile, countertops, appliances, fixtures, etc. The importance of taking your time and making all of the selections can not be understated during this phase. Having all of the material and design details thoroughly determined and developed correctly before construction begins is a critical step in producing a smooth-running project, that will make the construction process as easy as possible.

Fixed Price Proposal

After all of the necessary selections have been made, a full set of construction plans are created and thoughtfully detailed in their entirety. We begin the proposal phase by meeting with you and doing a walkthrough of bringing over all of our necessary trade partners for your project who are experts in their field to provide us with their cost to do the work. Once we collect all of the information from our trade partners, a final fixed-price proposal is put together and presented to you.


Now is when all of the hard work, time and thoughtful detailing pays off. Developing a thorough set of plans and specifications before construction begins enables the construction team to remodel your space as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimize the inconvenience to you and your family.
