Believe it or not, we're talking about the holidays. Now we're not suggesting that you pull out the tree or lights just yet, but it is time to start thinking about any home renovations you want completed before the holidays. Are you planning to host any celebrations, or will family be coming to visit? Perhaps your kitchen or living spaces need to be overhauled for a big party, or a bathroom needs to be modified to accommodate aging guests. If so, now is a good time to get started on any projects that you want completed in before the frantic holiday months are upon us.

The first step of the process is to create a wish list and discuss your plans with your Design-Build Contractor. What areas of the home are you looking to improve - a kitchen, bath, exterior, outdoor living space, etc? What is your general budget? When do you want to have everything completed?

Once you have a basic outline discussed with your Design-Build Contractor, the next step is the design plan. With our clients, we create a comprehensive plan, present and discuss it together, and modify according to our clients' wishes. After making sure the client is completely satisfied with the plans and we are aligned on timing, budget, and scope, then the work can begin.

Depending on how extensive the project is, it may take several weeks to complete, or it could take many months. If it's a complete home renovation, your Design-Build Contractor can plan the work schedule so that key areas of the home are ready to be enjoyed for the holidays, then work can resume in the new year.
