They had innovative solutions to some complicated architectural elements that our project involved, and installed my favorite storage solution of all time in our kitchen (I'm not sure how we lived without it before). When they made mistakes (which was rare but happen in any project of this scale), the owned up to them and ensured they were fixed promptly at no cost to us. We hired Doug to reconstruct the front of our house using pencil drawings of our own design. He assisted us with small changes to the design to accommodate construction, and he managed the construction and remodel. Doug's training as an architect was essential to be sure the design was achievable and would not harm the structural integrity of the house. All of Doug's subcontractors were highly skilled and kept a clean project. Doug managed the timing of the subcontractors to minimize downtime. We had one unforeseen problem and Doug presented us with solutions and costs in a diplomatic and thoughtful manner. The project came in on budget and on time, and we think it gave us a beautiful result.
