TCI Remodeling Project Manager
Traver Construction is looking to grow our team by adding a Remodeling Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in residential remodeling. We are looking for a personable and proactive leader to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, have a meticulous attention to detail, provide impeccable customer service, and have the ability to provide daily oversight and management of multiple remodeling projects. They should find the most productive way to successfully complete projects per the design plan, within budget, on schedule, and to the Traver Construction standards of construction.

Key Responsibilities (Other responsibilities may be assigned):
Oversee construction projects from permitting to completion while monitoring compliance with project specifications, budget, and construction standards.
Create and manage project timelines and schedules within BuilderTrend
Coordinate with independent subcontractors to efficiently manage the production schedule
Develop and maintain relationships with Traver Construction employees, trade partners, and other design disciplines
Create daily job notes and project photos with BuilderTrend
Create meeting agendas, take notes during meetings, and provide notes to the production team
Develop and disseminate all relevant and accurate information to trades and suppliers
Supervise site operations daily to ensure all Traver Construction site policies, construction standards are adhered to, especially safety and cleanliness standards
Analyze all projects, anticipate areas of risk, and proactively develop solutions to prevent or minimize those risks. Manage any problems that arise during construction
Review subcontractor bids, labor needs, and material needs for each project, and analyze trade and/or material quotes for completeness and accuracy to maintain project budget
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to oversee ordering and delivery of materials so materials are available on-site when needed
Return materials not needed in a timely manner to keep job site clean and obtain proper credit
Inspect all deliveries, ensuring the materials are the right quantity and quality and are properly placed at the job site
Develop and track all revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Includes change order creation, pricing, approvals, distribution, and implementation of all approved changes
Manage and maintain customer relationships through regular communication with homeowners to inform them of progress on their homes; build and maintain goodwill throughout the construction process
Collect payments
Work with design team to obtain permitting when needed
Monitor quality of all workmanship in detail. Stop work when necessary and provide feedback and/or training to independent contractors as needed
Skills and Qualifications
Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering blueprints and floor plans
Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
Knowledge of industry safety practices
Clear oral and written communication
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work on multiple projects with different timelines
Ability to be flexible and to anticipate project needs and direction
Ability to deliver project on time and on budget
Ability to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction for demanding clients
Excellent computer skills. Knowledge of Google Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Mac platform a plus
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, push and pull heavy items on a regular basis, stoop, kneel, bend, and stand for long periods of time
Strong leadership and management skills
Professionalism in manner and attire
Willingness and ability to travel to construction site(s) daily. This is a field management position
Willingness to work weekends and extended hours as necessary to meet production milestones
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
Highly self-motivated, very task/detail oriented, organized
Willingness to learn, actively seeks educational and training opportunities
Education and Experience
1-3 years experience in residential construction preferred
College degree in architecture, building construction, construction management, or related field preferred
A skilled tradesman with exemplary supervisory experience may be considered
High school diploma required
